Ideal for any occasion, a photo movie is a DVD of your photos with optional music, transitions, and text that together create a production that allows you and your loved ones to take a walk down memory lane.

 

 

 

 

 

Process

Placing Your Order

After you have decided to create a DVD photo movie, please email Ali to discuss project details. At this time, Ali will also give you an estimated time frame of how long it will take to complete the movie and the shipping information you may need.

Sending Your Photos

You may choose to send your photos either via regular mail or email. If using regular mail, please indicate the order of the photos (i.e. number them on the back) and categories, if applicable.  (If using email, please send them in the order you would like them and also note applicable categories) This will then correspond to the information you provided Ali during the initial consultation. As a general guideline in calculating how many songs you should choose, each photo slide typically lasts 12 seconds on the screen with 3 second transitions. So, for example, if you have 80 photos, the calculation would be:

80 photos * 15 seconds = 1,200 seconds
1,200 seconds/60 seconds = About 20 minutes
20 minutes/4 (Average length of song) = Approx. 5 songs needed

You should always provide at least one extra song as a buffer. Please package your photos carefully if using regular mail. You may send your photos using whatever mailing carrier* you prefer. Ali will contact you when she receives your photos to let you know they arrived safely. If paying by check or money order, please include the payment when you send the photos. If paying online, you will receive an email containing an invoice with a link to the secure website to process your credit card or PayPal transaction.

DVD Production

As soon as the photos are received, they are scanned into the computer (if sent by regular mail) and enhancements are made if necessary. Your DVD movie is then created using special software and the specifications that you provided. Once completed, your movie will be shipped to you immediately and Ali will contact you to inform you that your DVD is on its way.

*Please note that Ali is not responsible for any lost or damaged packages during the transit process.

Photo movies make excellent presents! These movies go beyond anything that you could purchase in a store. They are personal and really portray the extra length that you went to show you care. The expressions on the faces of those that are in the movie are priceless when they watch their photos put to music. These movies will be watched over and over again, and the memories forever preserved.
